I didn't mean to be humerus and I clearly don't have your knowledge regarding Mr. Beaumont's financial map, im also grateful of Mr Caddicks ongoing support for the Rhinos im sure he is overjoyed by the on field return he has had this year!! Just one question from your learned self if Mr Caddick pulled the pin would Mr Hethrington fill the void financially? As you say like a proper owner?

You do realise that neither Caddick nor Hetherington put money into the club because they don’t need to as its a well run business don’t you?

Or would you prefer the Leigh method of the club being reliant on an erratic owner, who isn’t really that wealthy?

I don't think he knows the first thing about Leeds, Caddick or much else tbh. Swooning over Derek Beaumont tells us all we need to know.

You asked who was brought in to win things, and the answer is all of them. Beaumont has bought players with experience in order to win silverware, and has been successful there. That's obvious, and something even he has claimed to have done.

I haven't given an opinion on it, just the fact. I do have an opinion on whether having a small squad of mostly ageing players is actually beneficial in the longterm, but I haven't shared it.

We won it two years ago and our own fans dismiss it rather than see it as an achievement.

If we had signed half the players that Leigh have signed this season there would of been meltdown on here from many fans. Cant believe we're signing other teams cast offs etc etc.

I'm not sure the sport has a great track record of individually wealthy-ish owners. They usually come in for a few years, flash it about a bit and then fall out with the sport/governing body/retreat in disgrace.

It's not even a thing anyway - Leeds as a club should be able to compete with any other pretty much financially. Keep saying our issue has been in some really poor recruitment over many years. Some of that is just flat out bad judgement, some bad luck.

I have lost faith in GH judgement in recruitment because he is the common denominator; he might say it's the coach's call but money and contracting has a hell of a lot to do with successful recruitment, and of course they talk about it/GH has influence.

I really don't want to see us sign any more journeymen/solid pros who just block the pathway of a younger player without enhancing the quality of the squad enough. Invest in some real quality or give a younger player a chance. If it was me we would be 3-4 players lighter in that squad as it stands, I don't think I'd have Bentley, Donaldson, Myler or Olpherts.
