Apparently Salford have sent an email out saying they are in a hole financially and will need to look at the playing squad, they need £300k to cover the shortfall.

That's got to be a bitter pill to swallow for their fans after they raised over 300k.

Trust Rohan’s number one fan to make Croft's success dependent on the coach. Anyway, think of this, Tad. Croft leaving Salford puts Paul Rowley in almost untenable position. It doesn't take a great leap of the imagination to seem him calling it quits and then waiting for the next big coaching vacancy to arise. 10 games into next season and Leeds still aren’t cutting the mustard . . .

Bit of a shame in a way if having to sell or lose their best players, having done so well this season considering their resources and playing an attractive style of rugby..
It does make you wonder what salary Croft is on though.
Could end up being the wakey for next season, that is if they still exist.

If we secure Croft and Momirovski, plus maybe one or two academy/project signings we'll be in about as good shape as we could have been for 2024.

Will be some very good players not selected for Round 1 which is a good problem to have. I think RS will need to make a call on Bentley v McDonnell v Gannon, O'Connor v Johnson, Sangare v Hudson and one or two others, we can't select everyone.

We will also have some good players like Edgell, Lumb, Simpson, Sinfield and one or two others knocking on the door for first team.

Fingers crossed we get these next 2-3 signings over the line and done, and then we can get everyone in camp for the mother of all pre-seasons.

not sure how you interpreted that one. isn't any player reliant on a coach using him correctly? does a half back need a dominant pack to play off? it really helps. does smith like forward battles? not on this seasons games. it wasn't a criticism it was an observation. don't be so touchy
