There is still work to be done, probably at prop and hooker, but the recruitment so far (if Croft and Momirovski are landed) has been very good. Miller and Croft will give us something we have lacked since the heyday of Mags, Burrow and Webb - spine players with the speed and agility to beat players one on one. That will make a massive difference.

Miller, Frawley, Croft can all beat a defender and it will make a big difference when we can offer more threat across the park / takes pressure off guys like Newman too, which helps their game.

We might have a better collective attack too with better support and better skill generally. I don’t think we’ve had the personnel to play the way we want Leeds to play.

If we do get Croft it's probably the best piece of business that we could have done for a half back. We will have swapped out two 32 year olds for a 26 and 28 year old one of which is proven in Superleague. I still think we are top heavy in the back row and could do with a line breaking forward but let's wait and see what develops. The non announcement of Momorovski could either be that any legal aspects of releasing Macdonald are not sorted yet or it could be that we are still trying to get a UK qualified forward over the line and are holding the last quota space in case it doesn't happen and plan B is Martin to centre and another overseas forward. Hopefully we get the deals over the line then it's over to Rohan as it will be his squad then.

Fee around £200k reported for Croft via Leeds Live…

Sounds about right I’d say. Salford would have to look at a fee that large very seriously.

Big risk for Leeds though if the player gets injured or loses form.

Should keep a few on here quieter though, that is serious money Leeds are tabling plus the player’s personal terms.

True he isn’t pacey but he does have some skill on the ball and should support well.

If we get Momivorski he’s pretty quick, Miller is OK and Handley has pace - suddenly we look more threatening.

We need a good kicker and go to the wings more, especially Fus’s side. He is very difficult to stop if you can drop the ball in the opposition in-goal.

Wow £200k is serious money in the world of RL these days.
Let`s hope if we are successful he doesn`t decide to go to the NRL in less than 2 years especially if we do not get a fee for him.
I reckon we will offer him a 4 year contract in our favour to cover such losses.
Hats off to GH if Croft does sign.

Agree with this. Also, to a previous post, given the details made public I'd be very surprised if it's not already agreed with Salford/Croft and what we're seeing play out is an agreed comms plan from Salford. Lets see.

He is certainly not quick, but his try scoring record this season (8 from 18) suggests that he is engaging the line, something both Sezer and Austin failed to do with any consistency. Fingers crossed that this slightly older version of Frawley is a bolder player than the one at Huddersfield a few seasons ago.
