Just catching up with this: happy with McShane for 1 year, shouldn’t be reason for any of the young lads to spit their dummy out, and I’m sure he’ll have some input to the coaching staff over which lads in the system should be retained going forwards.

Actually this could be pretty smart for us. Improving that link between PTB and first receiver could make a big difference and he’s pretty strong for his size too.

Would imagine it’s unlikely we’ll be taking H Smith from Wakey now. Their new owner is looking to keep a squad that can bounce back into SL.

Now if we can confirm Croft, the new centre and ideally another big horrible thing for the front row that would be cool.

Yep, I would be happy if we got Croft, Mimirovski, McShane and a good prop.

A large 2nd row and a cover winger for Olphert's would be nice but that is unlikely to happen on top of the above.

Maybe we wouldn't lose him off the back of it. He's still contracted after all. The good thing about this (if true) is that we are showing a real desire to compete next season, not just some indeterminate time in the future. An entirely new first choice spine of Miller, Croft, Frawley and McShane is miles better (on paper) than this years. That has to be a good thing.

Good question, I thought it was the shirt that Rob Oates mentioned but could of course be sponsorship of it. My eldest works in LBS head office, there’s been no chatter about the deal not being renewed, in fact the opposite.
