Did notice Rob Oates had a massive grin on his face throughout that entire line of questioning. Found it baffling that after announcing the 'biggest commercial deal in Rhinos history' and then opening the floor to questions that none of the journalists there thought that asking what the value of the deal was would be a good question

Yeah that’s how it feels to me. I’m warming to the idea of McShane for a year, but CJ is old enough to be regular starter and big minutes now, if the club think he’s good enough….

I think LBS will renew their shirt sponsorship TBH

Was interesting that GH mentioned the significance of paying a fee for Harris, I think it was a nod to the Croft signing being true, it was very unusual to see him and rob oats being jovial about the speculation i reckon its a done deal

Wonder if the Johnson out theory adds weight to maybe still tracking Smith?
McShane, O’Connor & Smith as hooking options next year, McShane to step down year after and promote from within.

Have to agree with others, adding to what we already have with McShane, Croft, Momirovski and a big heavy duty prop would be as well balanced as we could expect for a one off season turnaround.

Yes I interpreted it as new shirt next week.

LBS not renewing would be a surprise. They signed a deal to sponsor the netball side for two years beginning in 2023 so they seem to still be on board. There's a reason the club has only had two main sponsors in the Super League era when other clubs cycle through them as regularly as Leeds sign new half backs. Leeds Rhinos is a very strong brand who get a lot of TV exposure and who do a huge amount of good stuff that companies like to be associated with on the corporate social responsibility side.

Hang on, some on here said Sponsors would be dropping like flies after a bad end to the year

Whatever people want to criticise the club for, the commercial aspect of the club is run very well indeed

33 and people want to sign him? the same people saying we shouldn't sign projects or past it players anymore!!

with regards to money coming in it sounds another good deal

I’ve not watched McShane to be fair I’m going on previous years.

I’m undecided on CJ. Part of me feels he will develop over the next couple of years and could be excellent. He isn’t flashy but is very controlled at 9 - in a good academy side he was like a Rolls Royce just smoothly getting the side about.

Since then he’s ditched it all, then come back and played champ and 7 and sub etc - not had a proper run at 9.

He will want to play first grade to stay and obviously will have been aware of how hard Leeds have been trying to find other hookers this year.

Same for JOC; I’m still not sure he’ll cut it at a top level 9. We’ll see.

but mcshane isn't the answer
