Im still not 100% convinced the Croft deal will happen, its ok agreeing terms between clubs but the player will have a say in it all, he’ll want that NRL clause putting in

I think I the deal is done and has been on the cards for a while.

However whether it is or isn’t, Croft won’t fix all our issues singlehanded, could get injured etc.

Important thing for me is that the club seems determined to invest properly given this rare opportunity of quota and cap availability, and I think RS is identifying players that will improve the squad.

Croft,Momo and Sutton would be great on top of what we have.

Agree that it seems to be down to Croft and how long until he can use the get out clause

Given Smith's catchphrase was "recruitment is an ongoing process" when questioned about recruitment before, for him to speak about Croft so openly is a tell-tale sign. I'm sure they'll be able to sort out some sort of clause if an NRL gig becomes available. If you believe the dirt sheets, he's knocked back opportunities to move back over the past couple of years, so maybe he's not so taken by the idea after all. I get the fear given recent and not so recent signings who have just upped sticks and moved home, but hopefully we can just enjoy it for however long he's (hopefully) here for. It could always be Myler in the halves remember.

There is no way GH would let anything on unless it was a done deal. You could tell that by the massive smirk on Rob Oates face.

If we announce Croft, Momo and Sutton, we all need to remember if the team underperforms next year that GH has smashed it out of the park recruitment wise this year.

In previous years, I'm sure most people were excited when we signed Austin, Sezer and Tet even though they all turned out to be garbage.

The flip side is that if we don't perform, RS needs to be be gone after 10 games maximum.

If a player decides he no longer wants to play for the team what options does the club have? It always seems to be that it’s an overseas player! It’s happened to more than just Leeds, with the agreed by mutual consent or family reasons bit thrown in. I will agree that most will finish the season and jumping ship mid season opens a whole new set of problems.
