Re props,

Wigan now have Thompson, Dupree, Cooper, Harvard, Byrne, Ellis, Mago, Nsemba and potentially Walters as props, albeit they may use Walters as a wide running backrower.

They will need to offload a couple.

Personally Id be looking at Nsemba who will be right down the pecking order now.

Nsemba is a backrower who will probably interchange with Walters on the right side. Seems a fair bit of talk that Harvie Hill will go out on loan somewhere - would have thought he'd go to a smaller SL club where he could play regularly but he's never let Wigan down this year.

Thing is if your recruitment is on the ball and have a decent scouting network / system in place you can mitigate the impact of this possibility somewhat by knowing who's out of contract / up for a move / available.

It does sometimes seem to be that we always seem to look at going shopping after other teams and get ourselves behind the 8 ball needlessly and just add pressure to ourselves with how we go about things communication wise. Been the same for years, its just what we do.

If Wigan plan to use Walters as an edge back row, they're making a mistake.

Harvie Hill for a year would be a good signing for us if Eseh is going to Saints.
Sutton played a fair bit at 13 in the NRL and does big minutes.
Don`t think there`s much chance us getting Nsemba as I get the impression Peet rates him highly.

But you don`t think Salford have done a number on us if rumoured we have signed Croft and they have bagged MacDonald?
You would think we could have used MacDonald as bait to catch Croft rather than releasing him, signing Croft for big bucks and Salford coming in and getting MacDonald for nothing.

No. Think it is what it is. We have signed (fingers crossed) Croft. We have sacked Nene. Good riddance. If Salford have then moved to sign him they are taking a big risk on a man who appears to be an employee of questionable character. I don't think we've lost out.
