I think Newman will want a big year to try go to the NRL, he’s way off that level at the moment. Next year is a massive one for Harry, another year of injuries and petulance could see him look like not fulfilling his huge potential.

He'll need a decent season not to look out of place in our three-quarters. As it should be.

Seriously I can understand the name calling but to include Walters is just wrong he when given the chance was the best forward in the the team right up to the last game give the lad some credit.!

Like I said I am assuming at this point that Croft is coming too, too much smoke. That leaves questions over prop and possibly hooker too - RS is not messing about sorting the squad out.

Very interested to see how we line up fully for 2024.

Holes are being filled by quality,it's what we have been crying out for.

Punchy prop and either an amazing hooker for a few years or a better one for 1 Yr and we look great compared to the last few years

But don't forget we are a shambles of a club, everyone and everything is s*t, we should sack everyone, especially the coach, we leave our recruitment to the last minute and only get sloppy seconds at best, we don't plan ahead for anything, we have players leaving a sinking ship, yawnyawnyawnyawnyawn...

If we do sign Croft and then one or two more projects/fill-in spots, and RS fails to get us performing better next year, I will hold my hand up and say he isn't the right man for Leeds (assuming we don't get decimated by injuries again, which just isn't the coach's fault). However I'm pretty confident with what he's putting together that we should see much better structure and performances next season.

Hang on Jim, you yourself have got a bit twitchy lately, and without a ball kicked yet let's see how we go at the start of next season before proclaiming all is fixed. Commenting on what's been currently going on ie finishing 8th and some awful performances (even accounting for disruption) warrants critique. And theres still a lot of ifs around recruitment.

It still stands that RSs approach (or what was evident on the field) was pretty erratic with ethos/playing style jumping around.

If it all comes together next season we will all be happy I'm sure but it doesn't invalidate assessing this year for what it has been. Being crap and having some poorly managed squad issues and having a good year next year aren't mutually exclusive.
