On the other hand, it shows a degree of loyalty and that he can settle in an area... We've seen the opposite of that in recent years.

Agree Arthur. It’s a fair point to raise but I know Lee’s biggest regret of his career was how he approached his time at Leeds.

I don’t think Croft will have any of the same underlying factors when he hopefully arrives.

I guess more importantly will be whether the team can play to suit Croft's strengths. I hope we get to see him as the major attacking threat he has been for Salford.

This is where Matt Frawley actually makes a bit more sense now! Let him organise the side and Croft can be the running 6 we've needed for a long while!

With a pretty much new spine RS should be working on a plan to maximise the strengths of the team.

If we get Croft there shoukd be no reason.
We would have a good and well balanced team,certainly the strongest for a long time.

I still think we need a big prop to get us moving up field but if RS continues with the passive defence approach he should be out before mid season.

This was never really a 'thing' and was way over stated by some, the only time I think it was a proper tactic was when RS first arrived and it worked.

Well,it was not a thing more often than it should have been.
If it wasn't the intentional plan then it should have been fixed sooner.

Agree, and I think people do forget that he also had some great games for Leeds. Certainly wasn't Lolohea.

My point was more that a lot of teams often have what people are saying as 'passive defence' its a perfectly valid tactic when needed, the defensive line staying intact and people not rushing out is often needed and indeed a positive, that does need to mixed up when necessary though.

IMO it was totally overstated that we were always passive in our defensive line.

Watch any teams in SL (maybe bar saints) and in the NRL, they don't always come flying out of the line and often keep the defensive line solid.

Defense really wasn't our main issue at all last year (bar the Wigan and Cats game), it was stupid errors, stupid decision making and lack of creativity that were our main issues, I'm much more confident in the squad we are putting together to put those things right
