Burgess would be a headline grabbing signing and he probably put a thousand on the gates, but I do wonder if he'd represent value for money much beyond next season. He'll be 32 in April, so in my opinion it's probably this year or never. Given that it he seems unlikely to want to come to SL yet, and we can't have much to play with on the cap, chances are it's going to be never. That's why I think we might be better off with a Wilson.

Ollie Wilson has three years left on a contract with Hudds Giants. I’m not sure it’s him folks.

Brodie Croft had 6. If he wants to come and Huddersfield think they are getting something out of it, it's certainly not beyond the realms.

If he wants to leave I imagine Huddersfield will ultimately accept a transfer fee and/or player swap.
How are they stacked for centre/wing cover?

Just can't see us having enough cap space unless we lose a couple more. Opherts obvious choice .Wilson is signing I can see happening if he wants to come then I doubt Huddersfield would want to keep him if they are to receive a free.

Is there actually anything credible out there about Wilson? Or is it just somebody on here saying they heard something from somewhere?

Just a rumour I think; would make sense though. We have money for fees, we are looking to mount a title challenge in 2024, he’s possibly the right type of player, we lost out on Eseh, there aren’t loads of non-quota options,Wilson is another SMTM client like Kieran Hudson…

Would imagine we would have to let someone else go to pay his salary but we’ll see.

Can’t see Burgess this year; maybe next but as Clueso says will he be worth it then?

Burgess is already on the downward path of age. He's playing fewer minutes and often not starting games. I'm not sure he'd be value for money, although he'd bring more interest.

I imagine Leeds will want to get signings sorted in the next week or so as we're due back in training soon and we can't afford to mess about this off season.
