And yes Leeds RL have been a very nice investment for Caddick. That's great for him. That's what happens in business - you take a risk and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.



But the only thing that matters, the literal only thing, is: who was there ready to take it all on back in 1996? If you weren't or anyone else wasn't then don't come back 23 years later when we've won eight Grand Finals, been world champions three times and the stadium has been completely rebuilt crying that "we've been ripped off".

i never wanted hetherington out in 97 who did have banners ? and have thanked caddick for his quiet involvement . but i said city centre deals , never noticed him building in leeds much before and the playhouse area was on hold for years . then again i never noticed westie dogs till my parents got one

I suspect this week off will have done us good. The squad has some niggling injuries to it (e.g. Hurrell) and mentally they'll all be fatigued. Then again, you could say the same for all of our rivals.



Will also give Martin more time to adapt - he could be important for us in the run in, especially if Ward doesn't regain fitness.



Wouldn't be surprised to see the new London boy end up with us next year if they still go down and we stay up, and we can move enough on quota and cap.

Ward should be back for the Catalans game.



Time for talking is over the team needs to come together and start showing a bit more desire and fight now.



The performance at Cas was excellent and we then started changing the team around and defensively weve gone to pot since then. We need a similar performance to the effort at Cas on Fri.



There is no excuses, were not stacked with injuries at all, were probably healthiest team in the comp.



The time to perform starts now.

Agreed. I think the 2 week break will be v useful for Lui,Martin etc. Should massively help them settle in and improve the teamwork etc. No excuses now.

Which of the teams currently in the ‘mix’ would anyone actually prefer to go down? I’d really like London to stay up but obviously not at Leeds’s expense! For me it’s Wakefield

Hudds for mine. While I don't like us getting beat by anyone, for some reason losing to hudds is more depressing than to any other opponent.

They certainly have bogied us a few times in recent years

London and KR both v loseable 2 games coming up. We beat Huddersfield away and Catalan home and we could easily be 4 clear plus point difference. 2 massive games for us.

I think if you're saying who it would be ideal to lose out of SL, it would have to be Salford. In a way, it's a shame they've had a decent season up to now. They don't have an academy and their stadium situation isn't ideal, and without the Koukash money, they don't seem financially viable.



Out of the likely teams to go down, it has to be Hudds. They have no fans, and the ground is rubbish. Still, at least they produce a lot of their own players, which is why I'd rather Salford went down.

A bit harsh on the Hudds ground. There are a lot worse in SL. I actually enjoy going to Hudds.

Why does any team have to be relegated? Expansion is the way forward even if the greedy SL club chairmen can’t see it.

100% agree, now this may sound like I’m just saying this because of the position we are in but honestly I’m not. The best thing SL could do now is say we are going to a 14 team SL for next season, no one goes down, Toronto automatically promoted and the chanpiinship play off moves to 2-6 from 1-5. I honestly don’t see the downside.



We have got a good mix of traditional and expansion clubs, straight home and away fixtures then a playoff for SL champions. This will likely happen in 2021 anyway so why risk not having a London team in the league who I think bring a lot to the value of SL
