To be fair you don't read fully though. I haven't actually got anything wrong this year apart from saying the club reckon Burgess signing was a goer. Everything else actually correct, it is just a myth your point, as I simply don't care to say I told you so, just not me. Although if something was a rumour I always put it as that, rather than a statement.

And no I won't reveal sources, which I find such an annoying phrase anyway. They are not sources they are people just like us who I happen to be acquainted with through work or personal, just simply that, nothing special. I can say that there is absolute no way the information on McDermotts new contract is incorrect. He had a three year rolling contract, and it is now a two year contract ending at the end of 2018, and has that clause in it, but an increase to accomodate this.

What - they are paying him more money after a year like 2016 - if the rumour is true of course, I have no idea if that is the case?

If this stuff is coming out so readily it would suggest there are some issues of confidentiality at Headingley?

Gotcha - you did say during the season that McDermott had agreed a release and in your words looked more relaxed because of it?

He had a three year rolling contract. I agree with you it might look daft to reward none success, but to get someone to change something, they would always have to have something in return.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them announcing his new contract as they usually do with other long since agreed ones, around February and March time. Although in this case they don't even need to as it just replaces his current one.

What the hell is covering all bases out of that? I will tell you a better measurement. I fully expect Leeds to lose six games out of 10 at some point next year. Let's see what happens after that, and it will happen. I don't for one minute think McDermott will make it to the end of 2018, and you can hold me to that one.

I'd be shocked if he saw the end of 2017
