My only issue with Walters is that there is no sign at all of him ever being a good player and I'd rather players with potential get a go ahead of him.
Thats how I see it. To me he's collamity, just runs around aimlessly and slips over a lot. Seems to carry a lot of unnecessary weight without much strength behind it. I'd much rather give someone younger a go as he's just making up numbers.
I also think of players such as Alex foster, Elliot minchella, Liam hood (I know he's a 9) who we've let go in similar time to keeping Walters who i all think have much more potential. Just seems a bad decision.
Also I know everyone keeps Saying he's a fringe player. But with all the injuries we've had he seems to be in the 19 more weeks than not. I think that's why it's brought to people attention more.
But I also agree with others, it's probably not our biggest concern. Although isn't he off contract at the end of this year anyway?
Walters looked a great prospect in the short time he played in 19's and when he first broke into first team. Not sure WTF the conditioning team have done to him but he just looks and odd shape now and has lost that line speed he had to begin with.
I see Warrington have signed Prell from Yorkshire Carnegie. Has anyone seen him play? Decent convert from Union?
He's a mate of a lad I work with, scored 4 tries in a recent trial in a Warrington reserve game. Pretty fast according to my colleague and out of contract with Carnegie this season + not getting a lot of game time.
McDermott is going. I actually think he is more relaxed because of it, and seems to have let the shackles go. He apparently asked to finish the season, and that is what they agreed.
Sir Kev S points out some of the fringe players we have seen over the years add in Anselme wrt Kirke his last 3yrs epitomised "passenger". Easy to blame the likes of Walters when very few 1st team regulars actually performed until very late in the season/middle 8's place was confirmed. Onto the transition period look back at what i actually said it had always started my pov was the Club in terms of enough planning & recruitment etc hadn't there's a difference.
Yes Kirke was a passenger, I never said otherwise. I did say and stand by saying that Walters makes him look like Jamie Peacock, hence him and other fringe players being a key issue.
In all seriousness it is poor management of a young player, Oledski will have played for 2 different championship teams and our academy within a month, how is he supposed to develop properly when he spending his time learning new systems?
Another kick in the teeth for Baldwinson if Fev's 19 actually reflects how we are going to set up
It would also mean we are again running with just 3 props

Re transition.... Yeah OK , whatever
Yea ok whatever?? Come on we aren't 12yr old girls giving it large in t.v. You really struggle at times with context don't you?
