£0 would have counted on the cap so his non signing wouldn't free anything up. I don't think a prop is on the radar now and we go as we are.

I agree i dont think we are even looking for a prop.Someone may leave on loan to free up a space for Kershaw.

We can’t really complain too much about the squad shaping done this time can we? Injuries have a big part to play - if (big if) we stay fit we could challenge this year. Chances are we will need a few more signings and a few more academy lads pushing through to be where we need to be though. Looking forward to the new season though feels different than it has for a while.

Squad as it is, should be good enough for top 4. To become champions it's possibly still short by a couple and an upgrade on what we have under contract in certain positions. We could do with another good Prop and a good utility back to cover FB and Wing on top of what we have currently. I am worried about FB if Lachie Miller gets injured for any length though..

Reads like he wasn't happy being selected at prop, and didn't like being lower on the pecking order in the back-row.

“I felt as a man and what I stand for". He's 22 and needs to earn his place in the team instead of spouting this sort of thing. We need players who are willing to be patient and put the good of the team first.

Quite. His form didn't merit being picked much earlier in the season, or in previous seasons. It's the same reason he didn't get the contract offer he was hoping for. If he'd more consistently demonstrated his ability earlier then he'd have both got a better offer from Leeds but also would have got a better deal than he actually got from Wigan.

His opinion that he's best in the second row... we'll see on that front. Who knows at this stage.

Seemed like he was causing Warrington and St Helens all kinds of problems when he was running a little wider in the away games against them this year.

Didn’t he play prop in those games? He’s never stood out at second row IMO.
