Burgess will be nearly 36 when his contract finishes on i presume Marquee wages .Only three out and out backrowers contracted for 2025 so i dont think our signing of backrowers had anything to do with us not signing Burgess.

It was me Seth…and he wouldn’t have been but like you’ve touched on, the culture change has had a big influence in his decision to stay….as things were not good beforehand and it wasn’t a ‘happy camp’ but people have been moved on and much more harmony exists now….also given his long lay off last year I don’t think there was quite the NRL level of interest as had previously been the case. Given the culture change and new players brought in he was happy to stay as it feels like a ‘re-set’ and ‘fresh start’ and he is desperate to win trophies at Leeds

Great news about Newman. Should mean he's focused on getting to top form if he's thinking NRL after this.

Great news, got a lot of time for Harry having spent time with him through his junior career and in other roles.
