Not given up hope on this season still.

There's always reason to hope, but the stars would have to align in terms of injuries. Next year (with the additions mentioned) I don't think we'd be as reliant on luck.

Tbf I agree.

The spine and backrow are good.
*if* we got that big quality prop that can hit hard and a backrower that offers more in attack we will be hitting top 2/3. If a senior winger comes or Roberts / academy lad step up big time we could be challenging fir trophies

Although we all know we’re light on props this season, a fit again Hudson plus almost a year of Leeds training might put him in the frame; plus maybe Okoro and another year on TNW or Ruan…. If our front line props are in form they’re close to England props and therefore the need for another might diminish…

We'd have to convince this Walters that he was a prop first. Seriously though, recruitment for next year is the simplest in a long, long time.

More I think about it the more I reckon we could let a chunk of players go and aim for a really high quality back row.

Mik, Ackers, Holroyd, McDonnell, WorldyX, Smith is a really good pack with Bentley, Gannon, Lisone, TNW, Ruan, Sangare, Goudemand, O’Connor and others as reserve.

If a really good prop became available fair enough, but there would be no point signing another project here they’d also have to be a very high quality player.

Outside backs I’d re-sign Fus for another year IF he can stay fit the rest of this - otherwise let him go along with Olpherts and promote a younger player.

Yep we could get away with just a couple I think; but the focus has to be on real quality now we have the bedrock of a side and good academy prospects coming through to first grade.

We might get away with two but if were the coach I'd want three. It'll be eight years (if we don't do it this year) since we have lifted the title and we should be leaving no stone unturned in that aim.

Prop, second rower to replace Martin and a winger Davis or Johnstone to replace Fusi.
Not sure if it`s been mentioned but I see we`ve signed another RU winger this time on a months trial.
