I was in on Saturday enquiring about ticket options - hoping to go to a fair few but unlikely to make them all had I got a season ticket. The only way to get access to individual games is getting a membership at £15 which is like a season ticket card but they then load individual games on to.
As a result I can't really see how they will get anyone other than season ticket holders in. It will also pretty much wipe out 'once or twice a season' people. The last few years I have taken newbies to games from Leeds, London and Scotland and all have subsequently gone again after. This season however there will be no point them going as they first have to get a membership, essentially adding £15 to the ticket price paid.
Is this just a way for this season to cover money lost from reduced capacity or will it be an ongoing thing? It seems a bit naive and cutting nose off to spite the face - ok they get an extra £15 from some people, but taking myself as an example they have got an extra £15 from me, but then lost probably £40 from friends that would have attended a game each but (rightly) won't pay £20 plus £15 for the membership.
