If everything in the NRL is so fabulous and so megatastical.....

1- how does Josh Hodgson stand out?
2- why do they keep signing SL players?
3- how is George Williams doing so well?
4- why doesnt every NRL signing kill it in SL?
And 5 - why is it so awful to watch??? Bores me to tears. Jeez Penrith v Storm this morning.....just dreadful. 94% completion rate but its 1 man tosh.

Would love to know. Answers on a postcard please....

Thompson is young but will do ok if given game time.

I kind of agree with the message you are saying Marty. However, Hodgson is a brilliant brilliant player, that is why he stands out. Williams is an excellent player, that is why he stands out.

George Burgess was superb in the NRL, and start of his career with Wigan looks pretty poop to be honest. Thompson I doubt will reach his level though, even though he looks better than Burgess does in Super League.

He's 32 now at his peak easily matches the top 20 he proved it at international level.

Graham hasnt been "World Class" since he left the Bulldogs & is shot now hence nobody other than ST's offering him a deal until the end of the Year.

I only said Thompson will never reach the level Graham is at now. Not that Graham is still world class. That said, I do think he is one of the best out there.

I don't get it with Thompson. Good player, but not even Saints best Prop, so how anyone can call him one of the worlds best seems really premature.

Complrtely agree with this. Hodgson looks way out of his depth in internationals.
George Williams was a better player 2 years ago.

You are probably right mate which beggars the question why they signed him in the first place as I for one didn`t think he was SL best winger when he left.

Time will tell with Thompson, personally I think he’s behind Graham (in his pomp) by a country mile but probably better than the Graham of today. I think he could make with the Dogs but might need a little time to adjust. Let’s face it the only attraction over there is the money as the product is not as entertaining as SL. Harder possibly but not so pleasing on the eye.

I think it's hard to Compare both Thompson and Graham now as Thompson is 9 years younger than Graham and is going to be quicker, and look stronger to Graham now. But imo Thompson is a bit ahead of Graham when he was 25, Graham was still at Saints and didn't move to the NRL til he was 27 Thompson could become one of worlds best forwards over there as his feet for a prop forward are class and he's also very quick over a short distance, if he was going to a club who are in a better position and not struggling like the Bulldogs I think we would see him reach his full potential quite early in his NRL career but he might struggle or look like he's struggling in NRL to start with as Bulldogs get battered pretty much every week and have been for past 2 or 3 seasons, I think we should at least give Thompson a chance in NRL before righting him off as not good enough if he becomes even better whilst playing over there it only benefits England's national side.
