I still maintain that Smith would make a better winger than Hall and, as with last weeks game, both of Halls tries were simple ‘finish off’s’ that any SL winger could have scored.

In fact if Bluey put ME outside Senior I’d have as many opportunities as Hall does.


Oo – oo look Hall has scored two tries again that means he’s the best player in Super League.

I will admit that Hall has improved exponentially (above my expectations) but as a winger Smith would have (at the time) been a better prospect.

So I stand by the comments I made last year and am not in the least embarrassed.

You seem to have selective reading – I said that at the time we had two choices for an emerging winger, I said go with Smith and drop Hall.

Please explain how I was wrong as the scenario I suggested was neither proven nor disproved? I could have been right but we’ll never know now will we.

It's Ryan Halls third season and we are now starting to see the best of him (we are also maybe seeing just how good Senior is). I cannot understand fans who jump on young players backs, writing them off when they go through a bad patch. Hall did go through a bad patch last year but in that instance fans should have been supporting him, not bitching about him.

Leeds fans have a reputation for being fickle but reading through this it's pleasing that the majority stood by him and only a couple didn't.
