Surely we could loan him for the rest of the season and include a recall clause?

Johnson's leaving. Boo hoo. Apart from a spell at the start of last season he's been average at best all his Leeds career. If he thinks he is above this football club in terms of stature or football ability he is one deluded mo'fo!

In all fairness i'd ditch Johnson now either to the reserves or a loan deal until we can sell in Jan.
If the Stoke rumours are true i'd ask for Tongue in exchange who's just joined Preston on loan and is surpluss to requirments at Stke.

I'd not heard any rumours of who wanted him but obviously someone does for him to be turning contracts down, head will have been turned like Beckford but at least Beckford was decent, Johnson should have been in the reserves all season. I dont see what he offers, him and Howson together in midfield are too lightweight and he's not a proper left winger either. Not bad as a squad player but under Larry he's become more than that. I wouldn't mind Liam Lawrence from Stoke but i think he's signing for Pompey, he's on loan there because they missed the cut off point on the last day of TW i think.

Ls14 i did'nt mention Lawrence because i thought he'd signed a permanent deal at pompey with Kitson but i'd bite their hands off if he were available.
I mentioned the Stoke rumour because they've been mentioned in the Mirror and YEP as possible bidders mate.

Yeah he should rot in the ressies now. I actually don't think any half decent team would even consider buying him anyway. Like I said before he'll be at Crewe in a year or so.
