The hysteria on show here is from those fools who would rather their clubs players never get the sack no matter what offences have been committed, if only to prevent a rival club from signing that player
Of course, it takes an even bigger fool to consider homophobic abuse as nothing more than name calling.
The 21st century clearly appears to have passed some people by.
Having said that, Queensland isn't exactly notorious for it's progressive views.
It likes to refer to itself as the Sunshine State.
The moniker Redneck State would be far more appropriate.
The only hysteria on here is from you regarding the use of an 'alleged' homophobic term.
In your view it appears clubs should accept thuggish behaviour on the field but should sack anyone who calls someone a queer? Perhaps you even view this discrimination of the behavioural trait to be even more serious than domestic violence, child abuse etc? Your reaction to this would suggest you view this crime very high up your moral compass?
I would suggest your moral compass is a bit warped compared to society. Then you do empathise with the writings of Noam Chomsky!!
On Queensland I would say Brisbane is a far more progressive/enlightened city than its counterparts in NSW and Victoria.
It is no surprise either that the PC crowd from the Sin Bin invaded this thread - no wonder that board is as dead as the dodo!!
