On the new SouthStand, you can see the final bits of steel going in for the terrace, the roof will no doubt follow.
The other shot is the corner of the North Stand. I think the girders have been put on top for reinforcing purposes. Either that, or they are demolishing it, and removing them is the next stage.

Personally I like grounds with some standing rather than all seating.
Watching rugby league at Leeds, Warrington and Saints is far better than Wigan, Hull and Huddersfield.

I agree but that probably has to do with how empty they look, especially Hudds.

| Sometimes “best” and most “spacious” etc equals soulless, lacking in atmosphere and even bland.
I’m not particularly thinking of Headingley

Agreed.
Terraces are what makes grounds.

| there was an article in the YEP the other about the development and it was suggested that maybe they could just put a roof on the W T similar to what they have done at Wakey . I would not like that at all ,if they cant build a new larger modern covered western stand then leave it

If they can't get planning or if they can't fund a new Western terrace for a while, then they should try to make the Western terrace more user friendly. Some form of weather protection should be provided if possible. It would might encourage more away fans to come and tip their hard earned into our coffers, especially when the weather is dire.

| Flatten the away stand up to the screen. The space when flattened imo would be huge. Have a standing stand just like the temporary north stand up to the height of the scoreboard. Move the scoreboard to the front of the seating tier on the Carnegie Stand. Happy days. I think it could be done.
