Another solid effort from the lads, thought it was going to really get away from them at a couple of stages, but they battled well.



Really hope the club dont see Broadbent as a 6, its clear as day he's a , and a very good one.

Am I the only person noticing Holroyd? Monster of a game from him tonight. Ridiculous amount of work in D and got stuck in to the opposition as usual.



McLelland much improved second half, and though Cam Smith and Walker got into the match more.



Have to say Bodene Thompson and James Harrison look okay.

Holroyd looks to have lost a bit of puppy fat as well.still massive but a bit leaner.

Tommy has lost a tonne of weight, and is much fitter for it. He’s already proving he can deal with the physicality, but with a bit more muscle on he’ll be a fantastic forward.

A decent display. For context Leeds have sent first teams over to saints in plenty of seasons and come away with worse results.



Great credit to the lads, who will take a lot from the game and now have a mental market for what is required to complete at the top of the competition

Regarding Smith and Holroyd, both are young and haven't played a massive amount of rugby recently, so may be ok to double up

Im happy to see these young lads get gametime the fixture list has forced our hand & fair play to Agar he's utilising his squad.

I think "ranking" individuals is harsh there is plenty of potential in this group & i genuinly believe next Year they should be more involved.

Players like Walters Holroyd Mclellend Muzzy etc deserve the squad spots taken up by Evans Thompson etc. Id genuinely look at moving Lui & L.Briscoe on as well. We have Walker Myler Gale Mclellend plus the likes of Hsndley can cover FB.

I do think Broadbent is a much better Centre than 6 though the kid has huge talent.

Agar mentions Broadbent in his post game presser when asked about who's impressing him, also says Broadbents playing out of position at 6 and wont be judged on his performance in that position...Pleased to hear they dont see him at 6 long term.

You cannot knock the effort of the team they give it everything - it shows what a farce the comp. has become when marquee games like this are reduced to little more than a training run. It does the sport no favours.



That Simms looks a good prospect for Saints - class

The club is in a difficult position managing this fixture log jam. I’m chilled about it: outstanding to win the CC this year. Anything else is a bonus and whereas I wouldn’t look a GF in the mouth, we would have our work cut out.



What we have seen this season is a return of spirit, a return of hope and a return of competitiveness. Some really talented lads for the future have shown up. Our challenge is to topple Saints over the next couple of years.

It's just irritating that everything has fallen so easily for saints with the fixtures. It's a grand final, on a plate, knife and folk.

Still his usual grumpy middle aged man self, but takes one to know one I guess.
