Can’t agree with you, always a deal in business. Whilst it won’t be on the immediate agenda , I think the deficiencies of the terrace will be highlighted when the stands are complete. Obviously some of the relevant houses will from time to time come up for sale. Be a good deal for the club to purchase the individual houses .The club could then lease them. I don’t need to highlight this to paul caddick. He is one of the top property movers and shakers in the country. Looking at the huge developments caddick has done in recent years, purchasing several semi detached houses is loose change to him. Could buy the whole lot and build new house flats etc etc. All linked in to new western terrace stand work.
Although the financial side is a non-starter - it would cost £2-3m to buy the few semi's affected & millions to build a new stand for marginal gains in revenue over current income in a stand that might be full once a season - the planning system would fortunately prevent such a madcap scheme. There would be no support from residents, Councillors or MPs for a change of planning use to demolish houses on a pleasant cul-de-sac & build a tin monstrosity.
