More likely you can get bites out of him whereas you are too easy for me.

He'll probably not, you know. Unless it suits me to. I've been dealing with the great unwashed fekkwittery on these boards since before the turn of the century, so its just "Fekkwits: the next generation". From time to time though, usually on a slow news day, you need to prod them with a sharp stick and they jump around a bit to liven things up and add bit of comedy to the proceedings. One or two wily old hands on Southstander taught me all I know about doing that!

Plus ça change...

I can see that now    and my humiliation will be complete if anyone decides to add my impulsive but ultimately foolish comment to their sig. Maybe I need to go away for another year until the dust settles and memories fade? Why couldn't I merely have wandered down Downing Street with a Top Secret paper on full display? I could probably have talked myself out of that one... bugger bugger bugger better ask Admin for a name change pronto methinks

I'm afraid some things can (and must) never be forgotten.

The holocaust, Maggie Thatcher and now you calling G1 (as he's known these days) sensible.

Do you think if I changed my name to Mick Gledhill, people would take pity on a poor miserable sinner and show a little understanding for what was after all an act completely out of character? Especially as I lacked a proper appreciation of the enormity of my crime until those sound good men on here made me aware of what I had done?

After all, this is very considerably more embarrassing than Bullseye wilfully (although he alleges otherwise) wearing a Leeds shirt? I need some help desperately to start restoring what credibility I may perhaps one day be able to recover.

It might be worth a try but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.
