Both clubs at the time, had more pressing issues with regards money. Which was even at the risk of success.

Leeds dont have money issues, and I presume still want to be successful, so no reason to risk selling.

Yet.. You don't become a crap player overnight. I can't think of many transfers done during the season where the transfered player hits the ground running and plays to there potential straight away.

By the way wasn't there a rumour that Carney was going to come to Leeds when Smith was in charge?
