most american stadiums have no roofs, the ones that do and the domed ones are to keep the heat /sun/ humidity out, like the superdome or the Arizona stadium.

It’d be good if York can one day get into Super League.

York races do shuttle buses from the train station to the race course, I’d expect something similar for the new ground.

It's the site of the old Huntington stadium, but that area is really built up now, the stadium only about 3 minutes miles out of city centre and plenty buses run up to monks cross.

buses all day and a park and ride. loads of shops and restaurants
we are building an Imax cinema at one end with bats and crazy golf, like xscape, beneath it

Does anyone have any photos of how it’s currently looking?

From the last ones I saw it’s looking great with quite intimidating height on three sides
