I don't live in social housing, I'm not sure who you're confusing me with.

I'll hark back to an earlier comment on the dark half of the Pennines teams getting help from councils yet nothing this side?

Places like Leigh, St Helens etc had old grounds that needed pulling down, which created a vacuum to be filled by a community sports facility.

Leeds already has a community sports facility in South Leeds, so the council isn't going to spend money helping a private business build another one.

if planning permission is denied how much longer do the club intend to spend money keeping the south stand and the northstand up to acceptable safety standards?they must have other options

I've just seen on Twitter that LCC have granted YCC £4000000 for the development on their side.I don't see how they can refuse the rugby league club now

does anyone believe that the planning permission for the 2 plots of land at tingley & weetwood will be rejected?

I think it might end up going all the way to the end of the appeal process, which adds time the club doesn't have into the equation.

Hence the £4m loan from the council, which will at least allow work on the shared stand to start while the club waits for the cash to come through.
