Money talks and it seems Hastings cares for Salford if so i say let him do them a favour and cash in on him

There's absolutely no guarantee he can sort out our problems in the short term. He'd be in for some serious hammer as no side would be daft enough to let him play. Not to say he wouldn't be a massive positive but I'd expect no immediate miracles.

I'm not so sure, didn't he basically turn Salford around at the back end of last season, I remember him tearing us apart the first time we faced them with him in the side.

Don't get me wrong one player doesn't make a team but signing a player of Hastings quality (and he really is quality) would help any side.

For instance I am personally in no doubt if Hastings was in our team last week we win that game.

The club's finances and what they choose to pay us up to them. As fans we never see the real numbers anyway.

I would focus less on that and more on who we are signing.

The other question nobody seems to be asking is what Hastings plays like behind a jellyfish pack and when he is running backwards yet again becauae of another ferres penalty.

Hastings is not a magician. He alone will not stop the rot, this season or future seasons.

We don't have a jellyfish pack though. People underestimate our pack, Ferres excepted of course. The problem as always been how poop the halfs are.

Agreed our pack was actually one of my biggest fears for this season but they have actually gone well IMO (ferris aside). Ava is also going to be a great signing for us I think as well. Of course a half back can look bad when the pack are getting hammered but it takes 2 quit exceptionally bad half backs to make us look worse when we are on the front foot (like last week), having said that I think Myler would look OK with someone like Hastings as the main HB, the problem with Myler is he just isn't good enough to take on the controlling half back role.
