He put the request in a little while back I understand. Hence my previous comment that we may not be the only interested party or he may not be all that excited about us. All just speculation of course.

The transfer should not be silly money off contract in 12 months time.His leaving will free up cap space.

Personally I'd be offering Myler on a subsidised contract in exchange but I suspect the club might have already tried that.

I'd also lose no sleep if either Sutcliffe, or even Cameron Smith were offered as make weights.

I wouldn’t be giving up on Cam Smith yet, but he does need a big year as he’s out of contract at the end of the year and he’s in danger of slipping behind the other younger players like Trout.

Think that ship has sailed. He’s going to Have to have a stellar year to get close to a new deal, 22 now and looks championship standard, and down the pecking order already. Trout, walters, Alex sutcliffe all should be ahead of him and two are much younger. sutcliffe ward merrin Martin mellor are all first choices if injury free

He’s just turned 21 a couple of weeks ago, he was in the same school year as my son. It’s too early to give up on him, but he does need to get himself properly fit and have the right attitude and application.

Yes 21 double checked, but even so 21 needs to show much much more its not like he is a JP gareth ellis or JjB bit of a late developer, he was touted as a “best of his generation” type, a Morley sinfield mcguire schofield Iestyn harris type player. He is nithing more than squad player, without a doubt make if break season and it gas to br special.
