He's already signed a contract, but not sure with whom. He wasn't on the list of OOC players published a few weeks ago.

People complain that head coaches aren't given a say in who gets retained or recruited.
People complain we aren't retaining or recruiting until we get a head coach.

Houghton didn't play last week at wire so that's no excuse. It was the same starting 13 as yesterday which is amazing in itself at Hull plus a much stronger bench yesterday. It's frustrating as there is a good team in there when they can be bothered

Whstever the Clubs plans are re-9 going forward those plans have to include Corey Johnson its his time to be given a sustained run in the 17 imo.

I agree with that Mark.
Perhaps the club are deciding who will be starting 9 for 2020 and If Johnson was named regularly on the bench for 2020,Do they think that Dwyer is good enough as an organising starting 9? If not then where does Dwyer fit into the squad?

IMO Dwyer isn't good enough as a starting 9 and is more of an impact type player,so it is a choice between him and Johnson.(Johnson will eventually be a starting 9)

Also as Parcell is under contract for 2020 then where does he fit in?

Tough calls have to be made when players contracts run down or out as we urgently need our spine of 1/6/7 & 9 sorted out asap.We can't just re-sign luxury type players on 3 year deals if they wont regularly make the 17 each week.

We were talking Super League, not Championship.
