It has to be said Batshuyai has been treated shabbily by Chelsea considering he won them the league under Conte a few years ago, so if he were to come, he’d be coming with a point to prove.

I think it’s a shrewd buy if it happens. He’s an ideal age too

Apparently we have a transfer budget between £75m to £100m according to Kinear in an interview with the square ball podcast. Very surprising

It’s looking increasingly likey that we’re looking at alternatives to White according to Phil Hay. We’re willing to pay up to £30m for him but Brighton not budging.. they’re looking at a lad from Germany (Koch) who is early 20’s and highly rated also capped by Germany.

Robin(?) Koch is an absolute beast. He's arguably better than White anyway .
But with White you have someone who already knows the club and the system. But we all were worried about going into last season with an unheard of Ben White who only had League 1 experience, so I'm sure Bielsa and Orta know what their doing.

Agreed. Re white i think they’re happy to pay over odds because he’ll fit straight in. A new signing will be a while and that’s why we need to recruit ASAP. I’m concerned about us at the back and up front if we don’t get the players in shortly. We have one CB and no matter who you are you can’t do well in the Prem with a wafer thin squad. White was absolutely key last year and we’re weaker without him.

I can’t believe we’re only looking at one CB also... madness

i think it just needs a dash of yellow on the end of the arms with the blue and it would be perfect.looks like real madrid as is.
