Let's not forget that they beat us at Salford playing with 12 men for a large part of the match. I do think we'll win but we will have to be far better than we have been.

people read far too much into what side beats who and when, does not work like that, a side can hammer a side one week and 3-4 weeks later the reverse happens. it was that type of logic the had Cas fans (and team) Convinced that all they had to do was turn up at old trafford last year to collect the trophy.

That was a terrible performance but I don't see how it has any bearing on tonights game.

Salford were invigorated by a recent NRL signing looking to impress, we had a Semi Final the week after and absolutely nothing to play for.

I do think we have a decent performance in us before this awful season ends .If it's not tonight I fear the players will lose what little confidence they had left

Confidence is so fragile it won't take much to go wrong for us to fall apart. Hope I'm wrong but I think we will struggle tonight, even though Salford are missing Hastings.

It was everyone except the Cas players & Cas fans who assumed that.

I never said that it has any bearing on tonights game. My comments are more in response to those who think that we'll win because Hastings and Burgess are out. I totally agree, on the night, it's 17 against 17.

it really was not, cas fans the vast majority genuinely believed it was going to be procession, and as my whole family most of friends are cas fans and i live in that area, i can say that for a fact. maybe the players did not but psychologically maybe they were not as switched on and did not believe Leeds had a big performance in them, and when it came did not handle it.

My view was based on the Cas fans who post on here & those I know. I don't do any other websites or social media so have not seen an alternative view. Even though a good majority of Cas fans on Clearwing's link predict a Cas victory i wouldn't call it an expected procession. As regards the players, i think they had started to lose their self belief before the semi, which we were lucky to win. The Zak issue exacerbated the doubts in their minds, together with a crap Cas & an excellent Leeds start put the nails in the coffin. I think Powell & the team have handled this season much better, though i am never confident going to Wigan.

I am relieved you live & associate with more intellectual types however.
