A sad day for both clubs He was a big hero of mine and got to watch him at Headingley and behold he signed for the black and whites, great memories for us of a certain age

Wilf Rosenberg's name is synonymous within the list of past greats that have represented our club throughout the years.
My dad used to rave about the "flying dentist" and how great a player he was.

My respect and condolences go to him and his family at this very sad time

R.I.P Wilf

As a young teenager I started watching Leeds just before Rosenberg signed so I saw the majority of his games for the Loiners and he was a real star. The green sports papers on a Saturday night often featured photos of Wilf in the act of scoring earlier the same afternoon and his stock in trade was to launch himself at great speed short of the line and actually fly over the cover defence which gave him his nickname of the ‘flying dentist’

He was an important member of one of the greatest sides Leeds have put together.

RIP Wilf
