Things don’t sound good at the other code. Sounds like they could enter administration with this interview.

Wonder if that’s why the winger had a week training with us?

Not good news for them.

They can't keep up.

The team relegated; Bristol, London Irish, Exeter, Worcester, Newcastle are always LOADS better than whats left in the Championship and pretty much always go up.

Leeds cant keep their best home grown players:

Luther Burrell
Danny Care
Tom Biggs
Jordan Crane
Calum Clark
Tom Palmer
Dave Doherty
Dan Scarborough

They are also a money pit.

Its worrying because despite the "squatters" tag bandied about, the investment by the RFU helped to upgrade Kirkstall and they are making Headingley a year round venue.

They spent a fortune re-organising etc the other year didn't they? I take it they put all the eggs in one basket in a poop or bust attempt at Promotion?

The winger, Elijah Nico would be the obvious one. Was a highly rated junior in league, won the u20's comp with NZ Warriors, moved to Melbourne and won Queensland Cup winger of the year for there feeder team. Moved to the Aussie union 7's circuit and been in union ever since. 6'4 roughly 17 st, trained with us last week.

Dont think he played any first grade in League so wouldnt count on cap because he'd be new talent being brought into our game, not sure if he would count on quota under the same rule.

Wonder if the rule that applies RE players being exempt from the quota for the length of their first contract if they have moved from a club in administration would count with it being cross code.

Isn’t any player signed from union 100% exempt in year 1 and 50% exempt in year 2?

Never mind the Yorkshire Carnegie winger, Israel Folau should be available

We shouldn’t touch Israel Folau with a barge pole. He’s a disgrace to spout what he has done, twice, and in any case it seems to be to get sacked from his current contract so he can take a big money offer from French RU.
