Agreed, I think the various disruptions (Hurrell injured, sin-bins, rotations, Sutty off, Dwyer carrying a knock 2nd half(?)) are what gave them a look-in. For example, whilst Oledski did well I thought it was him who moved out of position leaving the gap for the O'Brien sucker try from dummy half? Just a bit of inexperience of course but important all the same.
It would be interesting to see both sin-bin incidents again. I really do think Hicks has some kind of problem with us and that the Giants players reaction to both influenced the sin-bin decisions both times. Are all refs going to sin-bin anyone who tackles in the air (accidental or intentional) from now onwards?
I would definitely have taken a 20 point win beforehand so very happy with the result.
I would also like to see both incidents again. At the game I thought Briscoe was very lucky, and had no complaints about his binning, thought he was stupid. The Peteru one though looked a terrible decision, and not even a penalty for me. Tackle looked absolutely fine. You talk about Hicks, and I agree there is something weird that goes through his head, although I think officials are terrible full stop in super league. But the worst decision of the game was in the first half, where a kick across from huddersfield was going straight out of play, and the right winger knocked the ball back into play, whilst one foot was over the line and the other on the line. The linesman was looking right down, and ignored it. Terrible officiating.
