After yet another disappointing loss vs Wakefield, we look forward to Hull KR coming to headingley. Hopefully players like Walker and Hurrell are back for the game. We missed them quite a lot today. Trout had a good game and I believe 80 minutes again? They’ll be Wellington Albert as he failed concussion test. Would be nice to see Crosby get back but nothing is said about this. Honestly think that Watkins needs to be rested again as he doesn’t look fit. Peteru will be out with a ban.

I will say before Sir Kevin Sinfield says it. It's a must win coin toss and game or we might not make Grand Final this year.

Deluded.

If Walker is still out, put Watkins to fullback, and ease him back to form there. If Walker is back, put Watkins on the wing and ease him back to form there.

Sack Ferres out of the club, and a massive transformation will take effect.

Were down to the bare bones lost Garbutt in the warm up today and he’s out for 6 weeks we had four academy forwards in today and try as they might they were no match for wire so can’t see us beating you next week

If Hurell,Walker and cuthbertson return hope we go for something like this.

Walker
Lolohea
Hurrell
Newman
Handley
Sutcliffe
Myler
Oldezki
Dwyer
Singleton
Ferres
Trout
Merrin

Subs

Watkins
Cuthbertson
Parcell
Seamanufagai (hopefully he should be in country this week could do with him asap) Donaldson or JJB take last bench spot if Ava isn't here.

I think Putting Watkins on bench could do him the world of good he's not contributing like a captain atm due to his injury problems and giving him 20-30 mins of game time off bench til he is confident in his injury might be what he needs he could spell Trout or Merrin when they need a rest and let him play at right second row to make a few tackles and ease him back into playing the full 80 again. I'd drop Briscoe now as well he doesn't bring much to team now and other players couldn't do much worse hopefully putting lolohea on wing might take a bit of pressure off him and isn't as stressful as playing Full back or Half back.

If the wing starts to get bombarded with high balls it can be the most stressful place on the pitch. Not to mention if a smart team sees him playing you'd put all the kicks to him and tire him out quickly given how fat he is. If you want to drop Briscoe, surely Golding or Briscoe Jr is worth a go first?

Gotcha - what evidence is there that Ferres is such a bad influence? Surely the coaches would be able to see that if it was the case, and given that he's in his last year wouldn't they just dump him to Fev or wherever on DR?

It really is no coincidence that things really fell through the floor when he came in. He gets picked regardless of his performance, it’s contractual. How do you think others like that?

When you say contractual are you suggesting his contract says he has to get picked regardless of form? I genuinely don't understand how that could be enforced by him - if he was still getting paid he'd have to show some detriment from not getting picked. Aged 33 or whatever its hardly the case that he's gunning for one last big contract after his current one expires. If he was the only way he'd get it is by showing he's a good player.

I'm not arguing he's a bad influence BTW. Looking at our squad I'd guess there are a few rotten eggs amongst them attitude-wise. I find some of our 'efforts' over the last couple of years inexplicable otherwise.

A number of posters have expressed concern that Walker appears to be missing when opponents spread the ball to the wings although his one on one direct defense is good. Tui on the other hand is just poor in defense It is time to play Golding at fullback he would improve the defense and bring a bit more commitment something needed to the entire team

Ferres added nothing yesterday again! Time he went.
His attitude is appalling.
Watkins is currently shot send him on holiday and let Merrin skipper the side.
