Very sad way to end if this news about Carl Ablett is correct, made some big contributions in some big games, particularly when he played at centre after senior retired.
Don't know him personally but a mate of mine who i only see couple of times a year does, understand he has been training as a plumber for some time, last winter he stayed in aus with Joel moon and his family. Moon family business is in building trade.

If he is heading down under wish him and family all the best

Ablett has been a great player over the years & imo very under-rated especially at centre.
Its never nice to be forced into retirement but the signs have been there for 18mths his body just wasnt up to it.
Good luck down under if he is to re-visit that option.
