JJB Injuries where when he was very young and still in academy under 21 (A team) apart from a couple of bad injuries he has been pretty fit rest if his career, Ward has been considerably more injury prone, year onvtear he onoy plays at hest 40% of games, played like 30% last year and looks like he will only play 4 games this year, his contract can be terminated as is essentially not fit fir work. They did yhus to Darren afleary and other clubs have done it. Give him a sweetener payoff to terminate his contract, and often get somone else in, enough is enough he is crocked.

Would like to see Stevie stay as he's a great player, Lolohea, Ablett and Crosby on the other hand

If the club put minimum fitness requirements in place there'd be a few who could be 'performance managed' out of the club. I'd rather focus on getting rid of them than on one of our few quality players with injury problems. The club may have to look at some form of contract based on appearances for Ward once his current one expires, but even more likely is just to offer him one year at a time.

I understand Carl Ablett may be forced to retire following complications with his latest operation. If true, he has been very unfortunate! An infection and blood clot almost meant worse consequences.
I believe under medical protocols you can’t take the field whilst on blood thinning medication. But I’m sure that’s the least of his worries.

Been told the same. Gutting way to go out for him if true, but we can request an exemption on the cap as he hasn’t played this season.

Gutting way for it to finish for him - if true.

He’s just actually sold up house as well, planning some changes.

Sad news that for Carl. Let's hope it gets sorted for his long term health. Been a really good servant for Leeds.

Wasn't he planning to move to Aus before Kev convinced him not to retire? I'd imagine that move maybe back on if he can't play anymore.

I thought part of his move was to play semi pro when he got to Aus.

Good luck to him - he has made a huge contribution to the success of the club during the glory years
