Got to be honest, I took a different view of that interview. I don’t think Sinfield wanted rid of Furner, and this has come from above him. It sounded like he didn’t want to work this way himself. Infact, I think his responses showed a lot of maturity, in biting his tongue.

This, the interview was an honest one IMO

Agree it was honest but also highlighted how far out of his depth he is.
Absolutely shocking to tell job applicants the Club are 100% behind Agar when we need a Quality Coach and his own Staff asap.
It's ok saying it was Rotten when he arrived but adding to the Disease isn't helping either he needs to up his game or go.

Sinfield was as honest has he could be.Make no mistake GH is still in charge and knows things have been going rapidly downhill since 2016.
He feeds a fall guy and we know who it is !!

Again what do you expect him to say, ‘we don’t think Agar can do the job so we need someone ASAP’ that would be a ridiculous message to Agar who wether we quickly get a coach or not will be coaching them fir a bit.

Do you really think the only communication he has had with job applicants is through a pre match interview on sky?

I would love to know how your salary cap is spread between your squad of players. I thought during the very first game of the season that your squad felt somewhat imbalanced and I still think that now.
There were rumours at one stage that players were unhappy with the disparity in salaries - could that be the cause of some of the attitude problems we're seeing at the minute?
Tui seems to be copping the most flak from the supporters but Merrin has been a letdown for me and he had another poor game again last night. Conceding penalties for dissent is criminal but to come from a player of his stature, someone who should be guiding the youngsters, is really disappointing.

I expect a matter of urgency in sorting the mess out he helped create.
we should have a Coach by now simple as that and all he had to say was that we are interviewing candidates or we've created a short list anything to show that we are making some sort of progress not the dull rudderless "we are 100%" behind Agar who isn't good enough to coach our u15's.

It’s not ‘as simple as that’ though is it, you think we should have rushed through interviewing and appointing a head coach within two weeks?

We have no idea who the club has or hasn’t spoken to, and the management are totally right giving Agar 100% support until the new coach is found

What I've inferred (and it is just that) from Agar's comments in the last two weeks is that he doesn't even want the job long-term and that he was happy doing the role he was originally here to do.

I get the impression he'd be delighted to hear Sinfield say "we've got several interviews lined up next week".

Sinfield is pretty media-savvy by typical RL standards but that interview was poor from him. He took far too much issue with some predictable, obvious but completely fair lines of questioning from Carney that he really should have been able to prepare for and bat away. He didn't come across well at all.

He was clearly frustrated, clearly didn't want to be there and if it was an attempt by Sinfield / Hetherington to stage-manage and put a veneer on the crisis, it backfired massively.

Recruitment has been poor since the start of the decade. Winning two GF's from 5th when our greats stepped up and one single excellent 2015 season can easily mask over these shortcomings but the warning signs have been there for many a year.

If there are bad eggs get rid asap. I would rather see a team full of kids fighting for the badge and getting beat over a bunch of whingers happy to just pick up their pay check and get humiliated every week in the pathetic manor they are right now.
