Anti player rant? Throwaway comment more like though I apologise if it touched a nerve.
And Gotcha's correct - I was a year out in my comparison with Tomkins who was indeed 20 when he debuted for England and won a dream team nomination.

Hurrell not being in is a blow.

Watkins and Newman it will be for centre then, I don't think we have any better options.

We should not lose this game. We should be just as desperate, if not more, than London. Being out-enthused by Bradford was embarrassing. Our pack needs to get over the top of them, our halves need to kick much better than we've seen, and I hope Walker stays fit and gives us some much needed strike from the back line.

More than that, I think we need to aim to put a score on London and strike a psychological point for the remainder of the season. Whether we are capable of doing that I don't know, but we have a fair few near-NRL-first grade players who need to step up.

It's not that we are going down if we lose this, I still think we could jag a few wins over the remainder of the season, but we need to be fighting now and showing some fight - particularly to our bottom-rivals.

Walker returns and Alex Sutcliffe in to the 19 no Hurrell with McLelland keeping his place.
Singleton and Liam Sutcliffe also in the 19
For me Trout and Holroyd and Albert are all better options.

Has Holroyd re-injured then? I know he played for Yorkshire academy recently - surprised not to see him in this 19 if he is fit.

Tommy was back for last 19s game at Bradford and plays at Saints tomorrow.

Trout is out but not long term.

Personally I'd have liked to have seen Muizz in the 19 this weekend as the kid deserves it. Anyhoo on we go.

Agree Marty and IMO Sam Walters also deserves his chance too when fit as he is a cracking player and has a great future for us
I'm far more excited thinking about our clubs future with our current academy players waiting in the wings than some of the dross currently occupying places in our squad

SL survival will be my only concern for the rest of this season irrespective of how good or bad we perform each week,It's a shame but sadly that is where the Rhinos are currently
