Perfect for Craig - he has his own man right where he wants him.

This could see a lot of very good U18 players being at KR - the key appointment for them is the next academy coach

Indeed, now they are splitting from the combined academy system it cant help but pay dividends when SMTM has a direct line to DM on any potential promising youngsters.

Smart move to have him working with the halves at the club.

I have no idea on his qualifications to be a head of recruitment though. If that's what he wants to get into then can't help feeling a more junior role to learn the actual ropes would be more sensible. But then I guess he may have left if that was the case.

I totally agree that just because you were a good player does not make you a good coach/administrator/owner/scout or anything else.

I wish him luck but would be surprised if he is still in role in 2 years.

Seems HKR are shaking things up - new head coach for 2020 as well.

I think we just wanted Mags till end of season and threw in coaching staff job as a bit of an attraction for him . God knows what job he was going to do though
