Very sad news, that long run in 83/84 is one of my favourite times watching Leeds, did a great job with Halifax and GB as well

His coaching days were before my time but I remember Bamford's best bet. He always backed Leeds to win, even if we were due to play the likes of Wigan, Widnes etc and get a hammering.

Sad news. Remember the great run in 83/84 which saw my 1st trophy as a Leeds fan.

He was very passionate about RL that's for sure.
