Desperate times desperate measures

Sir Kevin Sinfield is only 38 years old and I’m sure he keeps himself in shape, I say he should come out of retirement and we get him back on the pitch at stand off. Sure his contribution in games will be limited, but at least he has a decent kicking game and leadership skills. We have an unused sub often enough, if he can’t play the full 80 that’s not a problem.

Will it have any impact though? JP did it for Hull KR and he made no real impact and they ended up going down. Sinfield hasn’t played a game of competitive RL for nearly 4 years. Him coming out of retirement must be a last resort.

If we were mid table I wouldn’t have suggested it, but we’re joint bottom of the league and in desperate times.

If Sinfield came out of retirement, from our half backs of Myler, Sutcliffe, Lolohea and Sinfield, Sinfield would be 1st choice everytime.

He should not come back he went out the right way. I don’t think he should have come back to the club in any capacity, I wanted to remember him for the great player he was, now that is tinged rightly or wrongly with the current situation

He went out at the absolute perfect time. Treble. Can't do better. Never gonna happen and never should so NO.

Let's just hope that we survive this season and after the expected clear out ,we start fro. Scratch with a team and coach that can play at a respectable level and look like we are heading upwards . I'm just fed up with this season I just want it to end I dont even look forward to the game.Yes K will still retain my season ticket

I thought this was going to be a long the lines of break the cap to ensure we stay up. I'd rather do that and take the penalties next year than see Kev come back

If this was 2016 it might not be a completely barking mad idea. I'd rather go the salary cap breach route as well if we had to...

What might be worth doing, even if it causes guffaws all round, is have a look at any halfbacks in the Championship who can kick and organise. They don't have to be stars, but it looks like we're putting all our eggs into the basket of getting a halfback from somewhere (if Maloney was the target he'll most likely see out the rest of Origin unless NSW lose game 2 this weekend). When you watch Leeds there's no sense of control, or who is supposed to be in charge when we have the ball. Compared to Myler/Sutcliffe there must be some Championship/reserve SL halfbacks who at least know what to do on the last tackle or how to compose a set of 6?
