This is how bad our season has been. We are now shiffting the blame to anyone whos shoulders are wide enough. I agree that Dwyer is not a top class hooker but to blame him for our current and future halfback woes is laughable.

I am not so sure he is actually blaming it on Dwyer, but more saying it is a contributory factor. He is right on the hooker though, however it is also fully correct to say that top halfs would be dominating regardless. I would spin round his original point and say it wouldn't matter if we had Danny Buderas back, or brought in Cameron Smith, as our current halfs would still produce the same poop regardless. But to make everything right, we do need an hooker with the halfs.

Cameron Smith often goes to first receiver to make plays. He's the one hooker who'd make a massive difference on his own.

For me a kicking half is the next critical addition, and clearly there is something in the rumour that Leeds are in for Hastings, for that reason.
I think hooker is an issue for 2020, to clean up our linkage a bit and take us into a more top-of-the-table proposition.
For survival I honestly think a quality half back gets us to safety this year. Our pack has been establishing enough field position recently, Ava's made a difference.
I'm tearing my hair out watching the effort some of the boys are putting in, and then we dish up some level of stupid play to stuff it up and put us on the back foot again. We just cannot apply any consistent pressure with this combination.
We're also creating zero space for our strike players, and so we give the ball to Newman, Hurrell or Walker and ask them to beat four or five SL defenders - really not playing as a unit. If you can position Hurrell with a 1:1 in the final 10 metres it would be a try most times, but we're asking him to run through entire teams from within our own half - it's really annoying me!

Exactly Gotcha. The positions of 6 7 and 9 and vital to any team and we are dreadful in all 3. Resolve those positions and we still arent there but we will be a vastly improved team. All 3 must be addressed this off season as priority.

Really? I think they look terrible. Both teams. I would back us to beat these teams 9 tines out of 10 every time.

Think most are watching the worst team in the league tonight. Are Leeds signing anyone to organise the team on the field anytime soon? Because they are in desperate need of it.

We will see. The worst team will be bottom at the end of the season and the way London have gone this season fair play i say. I just hope if they are going 14 next season and no relegation they announce it now because i for one would not want us to be saved because the RFL don't want to lose Leeds as we would get fans like yourself going on forever and a day.

In answer to the original question, it's a NO for me...

However....

I firmly believe Sinfield would still be a better option than Myler or Sutcliffe. If we break the role down into specific areas and rate the 3 of them;
Organising/game management - Sinfield is the best of the 3 by a million miles
Passing - Sinfield is the best of the 3
Long kicking - Sinfield is the best of the 3
Short kicking - Sinfield is the best of the 3
Leadership - Sinfield is the best of the 3
Defence - Sinfield is the best of the 3, though lack of pace/mobility would hamper him
Taking on the line - Sutcliffe the best, but hardly does it and isn't exactly dangerous, Myler has zero threat, Sinfields pace and age would hamper him
Pace - Sinfield is probably the worst, but as above, the other 2 aren't running it anyway

We'd be a better team with Sinfield playing, even at his age and pace- but he still shouldn't do it.

Problem with that is if Leeds do end up relegated this year the stands will be only half full and financially that would be a disaster I personally would not buy a season ticket if we end up in lower division I would just pick and choose a couple of games that looked tasty and then each weekend go to the best local Super league match that was not televised. Hetheringtons business would be in tatters

And the Supporter of the Year award goes to...

The rot has started. The travelling support to saints was the smallest I've ever seen. Supporters are now voting with their feet and some have already called it a day. The Catalan crowd will be an interesting indicator of how many fans are sticking with the club. An half empty, hollow HQ will bring Gawwy's retirement forward.
