That's not really how being a fan works though is it? You'd rather pump money into the coffers of a team you don't support than watch a side you claim to be a fan of because they're on a bit of a downward spiral? The very definition of fair weather. Did you pay Hetherington extra money at the end of each season when we won trophies? A bonus for good performance?

I get where you are coming from, but that's not really how it works either. There are no merit awards for fandom, people can choose to watch what they want when they want. Sport is a form of entertainment, perhaps a more tribal one than other forms but still in the same basket.

If you don't like what's on offer for the price it's on offer, you're free to shop elsewhere without criticism.

It depends whether you are primarily a fan of the sport or just a club. I watch Leeds far more than my own team because it suits my lifestyle in fantastic surroundings. Plus I get some hospitality....

Problem with that is if Leeds do end up relegated this year the stands will be only half full and financially that would be a disaster I personally would not buy a season ticket if we end up in lower division I would just pick and choose a couple of games that looked tasty and then each weekend go to the best local Super league match that was not televised. Hetheringtons business would be in tatters

The stands are far from full now .I've been through bad times before at this club ,but I didnt not look forward to the next game like I do now . That might be an age thing though ,but the clubs fanbase has grown in the last 20 years or so and many of these newish fans are not steeped in the club like some of us are .If they stop attending they will take some attracting back

Clearly you don't agree or understand that I am a fan of Rugby League first and foremost a Leeds fan secondly and yes I would rather watch a quality game of SL than the dirge the Championship puts out after week. Plenty to choose from Cas, Hull, Huddersfield & lets not forget Sky are showing more and more each year

I think you'll find there are some very good teams, many exciting, and good games to watch in the Championship pal! (remember you lot getting wupped by the Bulls?). I bet you would struggle to beat Toronto atm, and there are others who would give you a game. So if you think it's dirge, you just might find that's not true next season if you go down.

Or maybe not. Speaking from experience of being involved with the games at that level

I think you need your eyes testing. Or do you think you can muster up better dirge than what you claim you're experiencing?
