Been told that we've swapped Tui for Lui, I'd be pleased with that

Thought the peter smith article yesterday was highly complementary of BOTH salford halfs, clearly knew sumthing.

What are the Salford fans saying about Lui's ability?

He is a fine player Matt & some of the criticism on here out of order. VERY solid.

Not shooting the messenger but in the space of 4 hours we have;
Signed Hastings
No wait, we've signed Lui
Or have we swapped him for parcell
No we have swapped him for Tui

Clearly nobody is in the know so let's just see what happens.

So who would you want that is available?

Lui wouldn’t have been my first choice but lets give him a chance eh? He is better than both our half backs

What does available have to do with it? Lui wasn’t available. If they are available then that is definitely someone we don’t need.

And whilst I agree better than Sutcliffe. I don’t honestly think he is any better than Lolohea.

A transfer fee of 275k to get Lui before the end of the season only makes sense if we also get Hasting for next year.

Lui is certainly far far better than any of the stand offs that we have used in SL so far this year, but we have needed an organiser since Sinfield left and this omission is the single most important factor in our consistently poor performances.

We could have got Hastings at the end of last season and before that we went for Tui over Austin and have not even gone for several big metre making forwards that our rivals have signed since then. Hetherington must take the responsibility for this serial lack of quality recruitment and Sinfield in persevering with Sutcliffe at 6 has shown a serious lack of judgement and his own recruitment has been questionable to say the least.

Along with most on here he wouldn't be my first choice , but what ive seen of him he's a tough little bugger who doesn't take a backward step , and although a little off the cuff , he does have the ability to make some sort of impact , unlike Mr invisible Sutcliffe .

As for being no better than Lolohea , give your head a wobble man . He is possibly our worst signing of the Super league era , ( I know there has been a few ! ) . He is absolutely abject in every way .

I would be delighted to see the tub of lard go to Salford or anywhere else for that matter , oh and he can take Ferres with him as well .

Cheers, i liked him in the NRL but havnt watched him closely enough over here to have a deffinate opinion, what i have seen, he'd be our best half by miles the second he walked through the door. I think Loloheas decent in the halfs, but his defence has been different level bad when defending in the line. Hows Lui's defence?

Agreed. Those who are so outraged by the signing (if it happens) clearly havent seen too much of him this season or they are blind
