I would love to have a chat with Parcell and find out what his thoughts are, having played under Brian Mac and then a host of coaches it would be very interesting to find out where he thinks it all went wrong.

Isn't it as basic as the fact that he shines with a pack making good yardage and quick PTBs, and struggles when not (i.e. most of the time with Leeds)? Its not a disgrace to say that, nearly any hooker looks better under those circumstances.

Parcell and Garbutt were a good combination, he will do well at HKR.

Bit disappointing to lose Matt, but with the pack we have we couldn’t use him properly anyway.

Would be surprised if Lunt gets a playing contract for more than this year, we must be lining someone up for next season. Johnson has the potential to be great, but it’s early to expect him to be on the bench every week.

Much could depend on what happens with Myler in the off season as his wage could be key to getting another hooker in, assuming we’ve solved the scrum half problem.

Id expect someone to come in this year otherwise why release parcell now and not at season end?

I suspect we have to release him as soon as there’s interest; he’s been “available” for ages but all the top sides have better hookers.
Steel yourselves re. Lunt; not impossible he may get a deal for 2020 as well as this year. We will still save a packet and free up that golden overseas quota spot regardless.
I would imagine with the 1 year deal for Dwyer, Lunt will be gone at the same time or before, meaning either we’ll go for a top line hooker then and/or expect Johnson to be ready by 2021. Options anyway,

Letting Parcell go to a relegation rival & getting another sick note has been better have a brilliant twist to it in our favour.
Not convinced by Sinfield whatsoever irrespective of what he inherited 1 good signing in 4/5 is shocking for a Club like ours imo.
