Which is what we've been saying.

Perfect, very happy with that - Lunt only contracted til the end of this season is good.

Tui to Salford is now the big thing. Lui and Hastings / Sezer replacing Parcell and Tui is a major boost to our survival chances. It’s just whether we can pull the deals off for this season.

Key question is does this free up an additional quota spot? So with Tui going there would be 2 spots free with one being taken by Lui..

Looks like it.

Lunt for the rest of the season with chance of another year is ideal - if it works he'll be back, if not we look elsewhere.

Yes I was a bit worried we'd sign him for next year as well, this is good.
I always liked Lunt, was disappointed when we let him go. Granted, not the same player these days.
Another angle to this for me is that it fires a shot across the bows of every single contracted player at Leeds; if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem and we will act.

I do rate Parcell as a player, but I am happy with this deal, Lunt is a different type of player and his game is probably more suited to how we are playing. Quick play the balls are what Parcell needs and that just isn't us at the moment. Lunt is a tough, more traditional style hooker and a leader

Totally agree.
Johnson may be an 80-minute hooker in the end. However if we're going to run with 2x hookers in Dwyer and Parcell, for me they are just too similar in that they're front-foot players. We don't have enough in D when the tide is against us, or good enough distribution from dummy half for me.
Lunt is a different style to Dwyer which gives us, in theory, better balance.
We've also got to consider morale etc. behind the scenes in tough times for the club. If Parcell is on the outer he just needs to be gone out of the environment. Lunt will be positive and looking to impress.

First class bit of business by the club. Quota space, lowered the cap spend and didn't offer Lunt a long contract.

Really pleased with this so hats of to the administration.

Seems a very divisive one this!
