It is all set for one of those horrendous balloon-popping moments this Friday isn't it?

I'm really not too bothered if we lose, as long as we compete and string some decent rugby together here and there.

If Ward gets through again and Johnson gets some decent game time, and JJB gets to go out on his terms, those are the wins really.

Terrific young player but we have plenty of those coming through. Excited for Corey but it's a massive step for him so let's not expect the world from him, he is only 18 after all.. It's about giving him a taste of it and a bit of an insight. It should have happened before now but at least his chance has arrived now.

Bit harsh on Matt Diskin to say Corey is best home grown 9 since David Ward to be honest but lets see how he goes. Should certainly motivate him and others to have a good off season.

As someone who has watched virtually every 16s and 19s game Corey has played for Leeds and championed him throughout I am chuffed to bits for him. Hope he goes well.

I'd rather not see ward in the traditional 13 role, too much for his body.

I imagine JJB will take the more central work in the middle a la Merrin. Ward should have a little freedom, we’ll see.

Might be worth starting Donaldson here if there is a decision still to be made over him, keep Ward on the bench again and wait for the initial fireworks to calm down a bit.

End of the day Ward is playing the toughest team sport in the world, there’s only so much you can do. We could do with him going into this pre-season fit and healthy though.

I agree 100% I was amazed he played so long last week and played in the middle of the park but he did a tremendous job last week. It's too much for him tho.

Ward didn't look too happy with his knee on a couple of occasions last week. Fingers crossed just a bit of soreness from his first game back but he was certainly stretching it out and had a bit of a hobble towards the end of the game.

As others have said, I was surprised he played almost an hour. Thought he'd had a 20-30 minutes cameo. Maybe that was the thought of holding him back? Also you're more likely to go crazy if you know you're only going to be out there 20 minutes which could've lead to another injury. Knowing he had a longer stint meant he had to manage his energy a bit better.

Targeting Boxing Day game last I heard.

He's obviously been unlucky this year I'm hoping he can get back to something like, he was a good prop before all his personal problems and now this injury.
